Lauren Santo Domingo is a highly profile fashion editor and co-founder of Moda Operandi. she is a contributing editor at vogue Magazine and also well know among fashion elite. Her beauty and elegance makes of Lauren one of the best dressed in the fashion world. She is married with Alejandro Santo Domingo, a Colombian -American financier that according to Forbes is one of the richest man in the world. His grand father built a fortune brewing beer. These days, Lauren is dedicated to Moda Operandi, a high fashion online store where stylist and trend setters can pre-order accessories, clothes and shoes straight off the run away before available in stores. She is also very busy with charitable and editorial works. The Wayuu project is one her most recognizable charity which is part of the non profit organization "Believe and lead by Lauren". They asked for her support and she contacted her most favorite designers. The the idea was that designers added their personal touch to these wayuu bags. She attended a fund raiser event which turned out to be a success, they rose about $100,000 given to the Wayuu communities and created awareness of their existance in the fashion world. She decided to support the Wayuu tribes by selling these bags in Moda Operandi.

Patricia Velasquez is a woman with a mission and a huge heart. She is a super model who never forgot her roots (Her mother is from the wayuu tribe). She had modeled for Channel, Gucci, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana. She also has doing some acting however her most important role is to give to those who need the most. She has worked very hard to build the Wayuu taya foundation a non profit or organization which help the wayuu communities to have a better way of life. Wayuu taya provides shelter, water and education to some people of this communities. It is very touching and admirable to see how she cares for others.

Getting Together For a beautiful cause
The 5th annual Be Live gala event has ended with a big success. Celebrities, designers and people from the media were there to support this beautiful cause. This organization that help the indigenous and needed people of Colombia has receive a big support of some of the most talent and well know people around the world. Juan Pablo Montoya has been a big contributor to this organization. He has been present every year. Also, Silvia Tcherazi, Patricia Velasquez from Wayuu Taya Foundation, Jimmie Johnson, Sophia Vergara and others. The Wayuu proyect main purpose was to take the hand woven mochilas made by the wayuu tribe of Colombia and have them transformed by the most talent fashion designers around the world.
